Before the Ukraine
21-year-old Brahim Saadu lived in the city of Meknes, located in the northern part of Morocco, 150 km from the capital Rabat. Not finding the opportunity to work and study in his native country, in 2019, Saadu left Morocco. At the family reunion, was decided to send the restless youth to Ukraine, due to the availability of cheap air tickets. For $100, Brahim Saad was bought a one-way ticket to the Ukrainian city of Poltava.
In the Ukraine
During the year, Brahim Saadoun studied Russian in courses at the Poltava University of Economics and Trade. But then he abruptly changed direction and entered the faculty of aerodynamic and space technologies of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. Having specified that Ukrainian legislation allows foreigners to be recruited into the military service, yesterday's student decided to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine. A mercenary from Morocco, Brahim Saadoun, was captured in the rank of contract sailor, mortar crew number of the first battalion [1] of the 36th separate marine brigade. A three-year contract with the Armed Forces of the Ukraine was signed in December 2021.
Criminal prosecution
On May 27, the DPR Prosecutor General's Office announced the completion of the investigation against British citizens Pinner, Andrew Hill, as well as Moroccan citizen Saadoun Brahim[2]. According to the head of the department for the investigation of crimes against the peace and security of mankind of the DPR Prosecutor General's Office Viktor Gavrilov, the investigation proved the episodes provided for by the second part of Article 34 "commission of crimes by a group of persons", Article 323 "forcible seizure of power or forcible retention authorities", article 440 of the Criminal Code of the DPR "mercenarism". The involvement of mercenaries in the commission of crimes is confirmed by their testimony. After the completion of the investigation, the case materials were transferred to one of the courts of the DPR for consideration on the merits.
